Dads-to-be can suffer from morning sickness in similar ways to their partners, a new government guide to pregnancy has highlighted. The 2006 Pregnancy Book explains in its 'Mainly for men' chapter that morning sickness and postnatal depression can affect expectant fathers and offers some advice on what symptoms you should look out for."Believe it or not, men can get symptoms of pregnancy too! The most commonly reported ones are sleeplessness, indigestion and nausea," the Department of Health guide explains."They are probably caused by stress, but are no less uncomfortable for that."The chapter directed at dads-to-be includes advice on men's feelings during pregnancy and tips on how to support expectant mums throughout the experience. There's also advice on bringing your new baby home and reacting to changing emotions, moods and feelings that occur when you become a parent.

A nurse with the Grayson County Health Department said Thursday that Wilson N. Jones Medical Center treated two cases of West Nile virus during August. The nurse said both cases were diagnosed as being West Nile by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. One person is a Grayson County resident and one lives in Fannin County. She added that both victims are elder residents and that she believes both have been released from the hospital. WNJ Spokeswoman Cathy Black confirmed the two cases.West Nile Virus is spread by mosquitoes. Sheriff halts 250,000 baby costs lawsuit

A YOUNG Perth mother who was trying to sue NHS Tayside for 250,000 for the cost of bringing up her child has had her case dismissed.

Stacey Ann Dow (21), Glengarry Road, raised the civil action at Perth Sheriff Court after she claimed doctors at Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) failed to carry out a termination properly four years ago.

Only one of a pair of twins was aborted.

Miss Dow, then 16, said she was unaware she was still pregnant until 27 weeks later, when the only solution was to have the child.

Her daughter Jayde was born at PRI in August 2001.

If successful, the claim would have proved a landmark case with major consequences.

NHS Tayside defended the actions, saying Miss Dow was told of the risks of failure before the procedure.
